Reliance sees first gas from KG-D6 offshore eastern India

LYSAKER, Norway -- First gas is flowing via subsea wells from Reliance Industries' D1/D3 field offshore India in the Krishna Godavari D6 block, reports Aker Solutions.

Aker says KG-D6 was a $400-million subsea contract for a complete 18-well production system with 160 km (99 mi) of steel tube umbilicals in water depths from 600 to 1,200 m (1,958 to 3,937 ft).
