Our client is an international company that provides geotechnical, geophysical, survey and metocean services around the world.
They are currently seeking to recruit a number of experienced personnel in a variety of key positions to join the offshore Engineering Team. The positions will be offshore based with occasional travel to office for briefings pre/post mobilisations.
Responsibilities will include:
• Geophysical engineering activities
• Working offshore to carry out site investigation fieldwork, as required.
• Executing packages of work as required by the company.
• Keeping abreast of state-of-the-art knowledge and developments in the industry, if necessary by proposing education/training programmes for management approval.
Ideal candidates will preferably have marine/offshore experience in geophysical surveys, although other suitability qualified/experienced candidates will be considered.
Qualifications/ Experience in at least three of the following systems will be advantageous:
• Edgetech Side Scan Sonars
• Deepwater Multi Beam systems.
• Digital SEAL Systems - Mini Air Gun and Streamers
• Sparker Systems
• Magnetometers (SeaSpy and Geometrics)
• Drop coring
• PCPT Systems
• SVP
• Calibration of instruments and re terminations of control cables / wires.
Candidates with a background in electrical controls, communications, IT infrastructure and networking will ideally be of benefit to the operational needs of our client.
