Job Summary:

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
General-

• Prepares well operations procedures e.g. Casing running and cementing
• Prepares well time estimates and AFE’s ( Authorization for Expenditure ) in Osprey RISK
• Prepares project well control briefing
• Participates in selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers and equipment

Purpose

• Implement and manage a QHSE recognition program to foster the active participation of all project participants in QHSE initiatives.
• Develops Quality and HSE partnerships with clients, suppliers/contractors and promotes Schlumberger QHSE leadership within the Industry.
• Keeps abreast of any new development or policy related to QHSE and informs the Project Manager accordingly
• Ensures regular updating of personal certifications and attends to personal training as required.

Description of CSG Senior / Principal Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing safety related input to design projects including but not limited to process hazard reviews, hazard consequence modeling, process hazard analyzes, risk assessment studies, Safety Integrity Level determinations, and management of changes as related to safety
• Technical direction for the group will be provided by the CSG Lead Engineer who will also be responsible for some employee performance appraisals
• Senior Engineer recruit should expect to be responsible for coaching and developing of lower level professionals within the CSG group
• He can also expect to be the designated focal point on certain jobs and as such should be prepared to plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program

Skills required for CSG Senior / Principal Engineer

Required Skills:
• The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with safety subject
• He should have minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas industry
• He should have ability to manage technical meetings, liaise/feedback with other disciplines, project management, client and regulatory authorities, provide advice on various technical safety and environmental engineering subjects
